Michelle Sariev is certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as well as the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM). Her areas of expertise include preventive medicine & wellness, gender-affirming care, as well as HIV prevention and treatment.
In 2019, Michelle received Emory’s Outstanding Ally of the Year Award. She served on the AAHIVM National Board of Directors from 2017 to 2025, including as chair of the National NP Committee. Michelle continues to serve on the National NP Committee and is also a member of the Georgia Steering Committee. She has been a featured guest on the Exclusively Inclusive Podcast podcast with Erin Everett and was a panelist at the 2023 Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association annual conference.
Michelle brings a unique perspective to care and admires Margaret Newman’s Theory of Health as Expanded Consciousness which essentially challenges medical professionals to look at the state of health as not wellness or sickness but rather an ongoing experience that shapes us. When she is not caring for patients, Michelle enjoys traveling to renew her energy and spirit.
My professional values are equity, inclusion, and excellence. My philosophy for my practice is to provide comprehensive care with the whole person in mind - focusing on all aspects of health including prevention, optimization, and maintaining wellness.
