Primary Care, HIV Prevention and Treatment, Gender-Affirming Care
Duane Moody, FNP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in primary care and infectious disease. He is dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive environment where patients receive compassionate, expert care. With a strong foundation in evidence-based medicine and holistic patient care, Duane takes a patient-centered approach to managing both acute and chronic conditions. He is known for his clinical acumen, empathy, and commitment to public health.
Duane’s path to nursing began in public health. After many years as a researcher at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), he chose to bring his passion for prevention to the individual level and pursued a career in nursing. Following several years of bedside care, he advanced his education and now integrates his public health background into his work as a nurse practitioner in primary care and infectious disease.
A strong advocate for LGBTQIA+ health, Duane has a particular interest in HIV prevention and treatment, as well as gender-affirming care. Outside of work, he enjoys listening to music, collecting vinyl records, and spending time with his husband and their dogs.
I strive to provide a save space for patients to discuss their healthcare needs without fear or shame. My goal is to help patients feel comfortable asking the tough questions they may have felt too uncomfortable to ask before.
