Andrea is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of experience, specializing in HIV/AIDS care. Passionate about improving the lives of individuals living with HIV, she has worked in diverse healthcare settings, including home health, emergency medicine, urgent care, and urogynecology, with a primary focus on HIV.
She holds a Bachelor’s in Nursing from Florida A&M University, an Adult Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Florida International University, and a Master’s of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner from Kennesaw State University. Andrea is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is an active member of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (ANAC) and the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM).
Andrea is co-author of an HIV curriculum on antiretroviral drug interactions and has presented her research at the ANAC Annual Conference. She has mentored nurses in South Africa through the Strengthening Our AIDS Response (SOAR) program and served on various pharmaceutical advisory boards.
As a community advocate, Andrea regularly speaks at HIV awareness events and has earned multiple honors, including Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and Grady Great 100 awards.
Outside of work, Andrea enjoys traveling, attending cultural events, and spending time with her two sons.
